Homotaurine (3-amino-1-propanesulfonic acid - aka : 3aps) is being developed by Bellus Health Inc. for the treatment of Alzheimer's disease. It is currently being marketed as an agent which can protect memory function "Vivimind". Homotaurine is a synthetic gamma-aminobutyric acid (GABA) analog that functions as an agonist at the GABA-A receptor and has been discovered to bind to amyloid beta.
